Padauk is very similar to Bloodwood. It is a rich deep red color and finishes really nice. It is imported from Africa.
Pecan
Pecan is alot like hickory, except that it's grains are tighter. It finishes up good and is a very hard wood. The Pecan wood I have available has much more heartwood in it. Is is grown right here in Louisiana.
Persimmon
Persimmon is a light brown, tight grained wood with purple streaking. It finishes up like glass and looks great. It is grown right here in Louisiana.
Purpleheart
Purpleheart has it's own unique purple color. It is by far the hardest wood that I have ever turned. It is imported from South America.
Red Cedar
Aromatic Red Cedar is a common domestic wood found throughout the U.S. It finishes up to a smooth apperance and emits a nice sweet frangrance.
Red Oak
Red Oak is probably one of the most common woods used for a variety of projects. It is a rather plain looking wood, but finishes up nicely. It is grown throughout the U.S.
Red Palm
Red Palm wood is a very grainy wood with a rich red color with cream colored slivers. It is imported from Southeast Asia.
Red Walnut
Red Walnut is a beautiful wood with variations of red and black. It is very grainy compared to black walnut, but finishes up real nice. It is imported from New Guineau.
